Leda-Lite produce flasshing Belisha beacon lamps with high lumen LED's.
The system employs 70 LED's on two boards angled to minimize disturbance of residents in the vicinity of Zebra crossings using Belisha beacon lighting. No guards or shrouds are required, as the lighting is directional.
Not only are we able to supply LED Belisha beacons, but we are also able to supply the Belisha beacon column, amber globe, anti-vandal gallery, earthing, lamp holder and LED lamp, together with electrical cut-outs.
The columns are 3.5 metres - half a meter in the ground, 3 meters above, with two or three White bands and access door. Columns have cable access and back board for mounting the control gear.
We can also supply internally illuminated columns.
These have a 168mm base, 114mm shaft, a polycarbonate tube, with a white LED light in the underside of the spigot.
The cut-outs that we supply are our LS/1 switched units to isolate the fitting, in case work is required on the column.
We are able to supply taller columns, if required, up to 6 meters, for Central Reservations.
During the last seven years since we produced the worlds first Belisha Beacon light for Essex County Council, we have now manufactured over 5000.
LED's have also improved from the Amber LED we first used to White LED's.
These have been available in this particular format for two years, the time we have been fitting them.
The white LED's are three times brighter than the amber, which in turn makes our lighting even better inside the amber globe.
The board and flashing unit is all in one, making the Leda - Lite Belisha Beacon the best value for money light on the market.
Our LED Belisha Beacon Lamps we fitted in over 850 columns in Essex in 2002 are still flashing today some 6 years later. I think we can say that they have proven successful.

Belisha Beacon Stand-off Bracket
Produced from galvanised Steel, to fit a standard lamp post, this product is available in 300 and 1000mm systems.
The stand-off bracket clamps around the lighting column.
A hole in the column to wire the bracket is required.
A 76mm upstand to fit the gallery and globe is provided.
By using this system, the cost of installing an extra Belisha beacon column can be saved.
Everything else to complete the system is standard i.e. gallery, globe, LED lamp with flasher and security collar.
