The Lead-Lite Omni Directional Beacon has undergone a complete redesign to make it Brighter, Lighter and more robust.
Now weighing in at just 19kg, the Omni Directional Beacon can be seen from greater distances due to the angle of LED's and the lenses we are now fitting.
The Internal tower also has another side. We now have a five sided pentagon, so we have more overlap of light on the corners. By using a pentagon we can achieve a perfect 360 light.
The electrics have also undergone a redesign. In our redesign we decided not to use switch mode power supplies, because of the vibration, atmospheric conditions around the world and Radio interference possibilities. So we have gone for a proven electrical supply and circuit that is simple, therefore less components and trouble free.
We have retained our polycarbonate dome, cast aluminium box and tower mounting feature to give weather proofing, resistance to water ingress and wind resistance, also possible snow and ice build up.
The Beacon now runs at a steady 36°ree;c, light output 2000 CD. 3 metre of SWA 1.5 is attached to the beacon in assembly, making entering the beacon unnecessary. The Omni Directional Beacon are available in 110volt 50hz and 240volt 50hz.They can also run from a battery backup system if required while maintenance is being carried out.
